We invite you to focus your donation where your heart moves you. Whether your favorite Olmoti project is education, healthcare, economic self-sufficiency, nutrition, sustainability, or women’s projects, you can direct your funds to the area of your choice. Please give what you can to help us continue to support the men, women, and children of Olmoti Village.

Smokeless cook stoves

$90 ea. 96 more are needed.

To date, your donations have replaced 150 open pit fires with fuel-efficient, vented stoves for cooking and heating, reducing respiratory diseases in children and adults.

Solar lights for all

$70 ea. 96 more are needed.

The health center has had solar lighting for awhile, but our residents have lived without light in their homes. Help bring light to read, socialize, craft, and play after sunset.

Neonatal support fund

$25 or what you can afford

We have set a $20,000 goal to establish a fund specifically to support the health of new mothers and improve survival rates for all babies born in our health center.

Manual sewing machines

$335 ea. Three more needed.

Olmoti women’ sewing skills are being put to good use sewing school uniforms, clothes, sanitary items, and goods for sale at the local market. More machines means more autonomy for women.

Secondary school supplies

$225 per student

While tuition is free, high-schools in nearby towns are residential. When parents can’t afford the cost of bedding, books, supplies, etc, many girls who pass their exams must drop out and marry young.

Farming initiatives

$40-$80 per participant

The men’s groups have planted five acres of beans and wish to expand to 15. Your donation means more men can join and more food can be grown, as an alternative to dependence on cattle and sheep herding.
